Indonesia Harley Davidson

Although the production from the year 1903, The Harley Davidson is known by the people of Indonesia in 1940. At that time, the Dutch military to use American-made motorcycle for the implementation of the tasks carriers. Many of the Dutch military motorcycle move to Indonesian military after the handover of sovereignty in 1949.

When the military is still in use, all running smoothly. A new problem emerged after the Indonesian military is no longer authorized to use the motorcycle. Motor spare parts that often called the Iron Horse or Milwaukee Iron is so rare. Harley also move to the civilians, who then they try to get a solution on difficult of spare parts with many ways.

Scarcity of spare parts to encourage the owners to join in small groups in various cities. In 1958, appear Harley clubs in Bandung (west java), Solo and Semarang (central java). Member this little clubs is join to overcome scarcity of spare parts. In fact, there is the attempt to make self the spare parts of big motorcycle.

From small groups, owner and than to be of Harley fans is slowly to form the larger groups. That’s Groups is embryo of organization Harley Davidson Club Indonesia (HDCI), officially founded in 1990.

Having Fun with Harley-Davidson (Humor)

Arthur Davidson, the creator and founder of Harley Davidson Motorcycle Corporation died and went to heaven. At the gates, St. Peter told Arthur, "because you are a good man and your motorcycles create have changed the world, the reward you get is that you can hang out with anyone you want in Heaven".

Arthur thought about it for a minute and then said, "I want to hang out with God". St. Peter took Arthur to the throne room, and introduced him to God.

Arthur then asked God, "Hey, aren't you the inventor of woman"? God said, "Oh, yes". "Well", said Arthur, "professional to professional, you have some major design flaws in your invention:

1.. There is too much inconsistency in the front-end protrusion.
2.. It chatters constantly at high speeds.
3.. Most of the rear ends are too soft and wobble too much.
4.. The intake is placed way too close to the exhaust, and finally,
5.. The maintenance costs are outrageous".

"Hmmm, you may have some good points there", replied God, "hold on". God went to his celestial Super Computer, typed in a few words and waited for the results. The computer printed out a slip of paper and God read it. "Well, it may be true that my invention is flawed", God said to Arthur, "but according to these numbers, more men are riding my invention then yours".
